Ryan Braun wins Drug Test Appeal

Ryan Braun has won his appeal to to league for his failed drug test, which posted record numbers for the amount of testosterone he had when he took the test. This will allow him to play the entire season through, and will not miss any games. This has given the Brewers more power for the season and they will be in contention all year, not missing their best bat. I think this is a great win for Braun, and it shows the instability of some of the tests that the league does. I personally think that this was a faulty test, and he was just a victim of an executive with the MLB not keeping his mouth shut about something that was not set in stone. Good for Braun, although I don't think a haze will ever be lifted from his career involving this incident. Good luck on the season Ryan!

  1. It's unfortunate that this blemish will always be on his record. The MLB, from what I heard, said he only got away with a technicality where he claims he was innocent all the time. As far as i'm concerned you are innocent until proven guilty and they more then failed to prove his guilt.

On the off chance that he was, in fact, guilty, then they need to make a better system. Many players have spoken out about how the system is flawed and broken but nothing has been done about it. Either way you look at the situation with Braun you know the system is broken. If he was in fact using PED's and they lack the ability to prove it then that's a failure. If he wasn't using PED's and it came up positive then you have a flawed system then too.

MLB really needs to look at the system, fix it, and then start testing it in trials. Make sure it's 100% right because if not, you're playing with not only people's careers but their families livelihood and their reputation as a clean player.

    1. I agree completely. I'm starting to turn on the situation considering that he only won on the technicality. I bet this incident will cause the league to rework the system in the next cba.
